Salem witch hunt.

September 13, 2017

Wonderful trip to Salem to investigate the witch hangings of 1692 for our "Witches Coven Murder Mystery Game".  We also took part in a spell casting circle, had our tarot cards read, met psychics and ate some great food.

We stayed at the Daniels House. Built in 1667, and was the private home of the Daniels family descendants for over 300 years. A wonderful Historical Bed & Breakfast. Our hostess Robyn (below pic.)

Our mid day visit into the Salem graveyard, in search of the prosecuted witches.

Mary Parker, one of the witches hanged.

Giles Corey, pressed to death for being a witch.

The Witch House, home of Judge Jonathan Corwin, is the only structure still standing in Salem with direct ties to the Witchcraft Trials of 1692. As a local magistrate and civic leader, Corwin was called upon to investigate the claims of diabolical activity when a surge of witchcraft accusations arose in Salem and neighboring communities. He served on the Court of Oyer and Terminer, which ultimately sent nineteen to the gallows. All nineteen refused to admit to witchcraft and maintained their innocence...

My Tarot card reading appointment with witch Jhode awaits... (below).

Jhode read my cards and it was a fun experience. She was rather enthralled with my selfie stick.

Afterwards she gave me a blessing and picked out various crystals for my mojo bag. Such a GREAT experience!

Getting ready for a late night spell casting session (below). Witches honor the elements of Earth, Air, Fire, Water and Spirit and their associated directions, North, East, South, West in the sacred circles where the ritual was held.

Tarot card readings, witch walks, spell casting and of course a great visit to the cemetery, in all a fantastic research trip!  (Our graveyard selfie LOL)

Late night dinner after the Witch Walk. Perfect way to end a great trip!
